A grown-up nursery
Nursery decor is primarily for the parents for the first year or so. Although some parents adore cartoons and bright patterns for their own sake, it isn't my preference and I refuse to be pressured into adopting this style in my own home (yet). Newborns have few opinions about decor, and we'll need to redecorate for a toddler anyway. Once he starts expressing opinions, we'll adapt for them.
I'm planning to spend a lot of time in the nursery, so I want it to be a calm space that fits the rest of our home.
